05 Jul 🐦NESTING PIGEON 🐦
A number of residents have brought to our attention some overhanging branches and vegetation along the Weir Field footpath. The grounds team have cut back what they can but there is nesting pigeon in the Hawthorn tree. The nest has been poorly built and cannot even be moved to the side. The egg has now hatched and the Mum or Dad is still sitting on the chick (it appears their parenting skill are better than their building skills!
). When the chick has fledged they will cut down the rest of the overhanging branches as some of the taller residents are having to duck!
This is still a problematic area to maintain and the Open Spaces committee will be reviewing this issue in early August.
Thank you for your understanding
