Earthline Update From Cllr Cathy Martyn

We have been told that Earthline sought permission to take the Secretary of State to a Statutory Review in relation to the Public Inquiry which was heard in May (where the decision was to dismiss Earthline’s Appeal). A Statutory Review is the planning equivalent of a Judicial Review.

Swindon Borough Council has advised that the case was heard in the High Court yesterday (4th October) and I am pleased to inform you that Earthline’s application for a Statutory Review was dismissed!

Councillors David Martyn, Brian Ford & I are therefore hopeful that Earthline will now comply with the requirements of the enforcement notice.
