21 Apr Mobile Phone Alert – Sun 23rd April
SBC Communications
The Government will be testing the new Emergency Alerts system this Sunday (23 April) at 3pm.
If you get an Emergency Alert on your phone, you’ll hear a loud, siren-like sound and a message on your screen will tell you about the emergency and how best to respond. They’ll be sent to compatible mobile phones within an area of risk.
They don’t track your location, need your phone number, or collect personal data, and only the Government and the emergency services can send them.
