Cllr Dave Martyn Update On Speed Surveys

Following the survey conducted earlier in the year, which received over 600 responses, Councillors Cathy Martyn, Brian Ford and myself shared the results with Swindon Borough Council Highways Officers for consideration.

The next stage of the process is to conduct average speed surveys and equipment will be deployed on certain roads around the village from today (29th September) through to Friday 7th October.

The roads selected are

High Street

Kerrs Way

Boness Road

Perrys Lane

Brimble Hill

The roads selected are considered to be representative of the areas highlighted by the survey, and this does not mean that these are the only roads being considered for 20mph speed limits.

We will share further information from Swindon Borough Council Highways Officers once they have completed analysis of the average speed survey results.
