05 Jul ***Highways Survey – Communication from Cllr Cathy Martyn***
It would be really helpful if those people who have received the survey could please complete it
National Highways & Transport Public Satisfaction Survey (NHT Survey)
Councillor David Martyn, Councillor Brian Ford & I have had a query about the survey which has been sent out to some residents about highways issues in Wroughton.
It’s part of the independent NHT Public Satisfaction Survey that SBC is encouraged to sign up to by the Department for Transport. It supports SBC’s annual self-assessment that determines one element of their maintenance grant.
It’s a cyclic annual process but there aren’t any specific dates that SBC is made aware of. The survey then takes place usually early Summer and results are sent back to SBC in November/December before it starts all over again the next year.
It is intentionally designed as a random survey of opinion so 4,300 questionnaires are sent out each year. SBC doesn’t get warning over what parts of the town are covered each year. NHT uses (by agreement) SBC’s corporate logo and signature. The survey is designed in a way to enable SBC to objectively compare its performance with other authorities.
We would encourage anyone who receives the survey to complete and return it.
