Increasing Biodiversity In Wroughton

Increasing Biodiversity In Wroughton

Our recent community tree planting event around Maunsell Way, Falkirk Field and Belmont Green was a great success.  Many of you have also contacted us to say you enjoyed the wildflower planting by Wroughton Parish Council on Church Hill last year.  We’ve extended this trial site and are hoping that the first area has reseeded again for some fabulous blooms this year.  To try something different we have selected a handful of areas in Wroughton where we will not cutting back or strimming grasses or hedgerows this year. You will see our home-made signage in these areas and we will monitor growth throughout the season.  Please feedback any ideas of your ideas on improving biodiversity in our village to projects@wroughton.gov.uk and they will be discussed by our Flora and Fauna Working Party.
