Local Plan review – emerging strategies public consultation

Swindon Borough Council are carrying out a review of the current Local Plan for the Borough of Swindon for the period to 2036. The first stage, an issues and options public consultation, took place during the winter of 2017/18. A further public consultation is now taking place.

This consultation will look at the reviewed plan which proposes alternative strategies to meet the future housing and employment needs. It also includes draft development management policies. This is to guide the decisions made on planning applications submitted to Swindon Borough Council.

The consultation will last for eight weeks from Monday, 29 July until Monday, 23 September 2019 at 5.00pm.

We would encourage you to make your comments through the online consultation portal. You will also be able to view all associated documents through this portal. You can also view them at the following libraries during opening hours: Central Swindon, North Swindon, West Swindon, Highworth, Wroughton, and Parks.

Alternatively, paper copies of the consultation documents are available to view at the Swindon Borough Council offices during normal opening hours at:
