We are currently in the process of updating the Borough’s Local Plan, which sets out how much development is needed in Swindon over the next 20 to 30 years.
Thousands of new homes are already allocated with the current Local Plan through the large developments of the New Eastern Villages and Wichelstowe, but we need to identify further sites to meet Swindon’s housing, employment and other needs in the future.
A ‘call for sites’ process is now currently underway to allow agents, developers, parish councils and the wider public to put forward sites or broad geographical locations in the Borough for development, redevelopment or improvement over the next 20 plus years to inform the new Local Plan.
