15 Jul Wroughton Bridleway – Proposed Works
Thank you to Brian Ford and Cathy Martyn who have pushed hard to get the following improvements done!
Improvement works will be undertaken on the Bridleway between Wroughton and Wichelstowe. The purpose of these works is to help alleviate the drainage problems currently being experienced on part of the Bridleway where flooding is occurring more regularly.
These works include; raising and resurfacing of the existing bridleway, excavating a new swale, clearing of ditches, relocating the existing fence line and associated works.
The works are provisionally programmed to commence from Monday 26th July 2021 for 5 weeks between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00, however, on occasions they may over run slightly due to circumstances outside of their control such as plant breakdowns, if weather conditions are unfavourable, or occasionally we discover the need for additional repairs once the work has started.
Advance information signs will be erected on site giving confirmed start dates.
Due to the nature of the works and the local environment, the works will be carried out within a temporary closure, to ensure that adequate health & safety is maintained for the Contractor & members of the public.
SBC would like to apologise for the inconvenience that these works will cause, but trust you will appreciate the necessity for these essential works.
